M83 are arguably the current standard bearers for all things shoegaze. With a back catalogue covering all bases from ambient electro to synth-drenched pop, Anthony Gonzalez' charges have built a commendable following with five full album releases and a string of remixes for artists such as Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp.
However, it is their most recent offering, 'Saturdays = Youth', which has seen them cross over into the consciousness of the wider public. A flurry of accessible, energy-charged singles including Graveyard Girl, Kim & Jessie and the epic instrumental, Couleurs, have brought about serious air-play and critical acclaim.
This recording of Kim & Jessie was taken from the band's 2008 session for KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic show in Santa Monica.
